{"id":1589,"date":"2016-05-17T09:47:56","date_gmt":"2016-05-17T09:47:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/houseofnehesipublish.com\/sxm\/?p=1589"},"modified":"2016-05-20T09:48:14","modified_gmt":"2016-05-20T09:48:14","slug":"fabian-badejo-to-present-paper-at-anguilla-literary-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/houseofnehesipublish.com\/sxm\/2016\/05\/17\/fabian-badejo-to-present-paper-at-anguilla-literary-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"Fabian Badejo to present paper at Anguilla Literary Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b class=\"\">GREAT BAY, St. Martin (May 17, 2016)\u2014<\/b>St. Martin author Fabian Adekunle Badejo will join Trinidad\u2019s storyteller Paul Keens-Dougles, and fresh back from London, England novelist Montague Kobbe to open Anguilla\u2019s Lit Fest on the morning of May 20, according to Badejo\u2019s publisher HNP.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Badejo will present a paper addressing the early bird topic, \u201cWriting Local Culture for Global Readers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The annual \u201cRise and Shine Breakfast Presentation\u201d is intended to stir the festival\u2019s registered participants for the five-day event. \u201cI\u2019m honored to be participating in the Anguilla Lit Fest with the legendary Paul Keens-Douglas and sharing the same platform with him,\u201d said Badejo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Badejo\u2019s books\u00a0<i class=\"\">Claude \u2013 A Portrait of Power<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0<i class=\"\">Salted Tongues \u2013 Modern Literature in St. Martin\u00a0<\/i>will be available for the festival. So will his critical essay in\u00a0<i class=\"\">Maroon Lives \u2013 Tribute to Maurice Bishop &amp; Grenadian Freedom Fighters<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">One of Anguilla\u2019s senior poets, Patricia Adams, will participate in the festival\u2019s \u201cLocal Literary Landscapes\u201d program\u00a0on May 21. Adams has also been published by HNP in the book\u00a0<i class=\"\">Where I See The Sun \u2013 Contemporary Poetry in Anguilla<\/i>.
